Berkeley City Council will discuss a variety of agenda items including contract amendments for city services, a HUD grant for seismic upgrades, and a donation for the Rose Garden. The Council will consider renaming the Municipal Pier in honor of Senator Nancy Skinner, funding a Green Building Program Manager, and supporting the Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration. Action items include enhancing deconstruction and construction materials management regulations, allocating TNC tax funds for traffic calming and bike projects, and reviewing the Reimagining Public Safety status report. A continued item from November 28 will address construction and demolition debris management.
