Berkeley City Council Meeting Agenda Highlights: May 9, 2023 The City Council will discuss increasing funding for the Housing Retention Program, adopting a five-year zero waste rate schedule, and waiving the Sanctuary City Ordinance for a Westlaw subscription amendment. Appointments for new Fire and Police Chiefs will be confirmed. Several contracts related to public health, housing, and community services will be considered, including consulting services for Medi-Cal billing and landscaping services. The Council will also review grant agreements for public health services and amendments to the CalPERS contract. A public hearing on the FY 2024 budget update is scheduled.
