Berkeley City Council Agenda: Housing Initiatives, Zoning Amendments, and Youth Representation The Berkeley City Council will discuss increasing funding for the Housing Retention Program and amending citywide affordable housing requirements. Other agenda items include accepting a donation to the Animal Shelter, approving wage increases for seasonal camp staff, and supporting AB-309 for social housing. The Council will also address a resolution condemning attacks on Black leaders, consider reforms to public comment procedures, and review the addition of youth members to the Environment and Climate Commission. Additionally, the Council will consider terminating the COVID-19 local emergency proclamation and discuss the City's eviction moratorium.
