Berkeley City Council will discuss a range of issues including contracts for veterinary services and traffic safety grants, amendments to support Downtown Streets Team and CalRecycle applications, lease agreements for Berkeley Food Network, and zoning changes for Rose Garden Inn. The council will consider civil enforcement of face covering orders, renaming Shattuck Avenue 'East' to Kala Bagai Way, and extending the Fair Chance Housing Ordinance grace period. Additionally, the council will address COVID-19 emergency tenant protections, vote on a resolution opposing Proposition 20, and discuss sustainable transportation goals and police department recruitment criteria.
